Master Waysun Liao – Learn the Power of Motion and Stillness
Description of Learn the Power of Motion and Stillness
The concepts of motion and stillness, how to balance them, how to blend them, and their mutual interdependence, are themes within the T’ai Chi Classics as well as Lao Tzu’s Tao Te Ching.
As you will learn in this course, everything in the universe is created from stillness and motion, and nothing can survive without both. If you don’t have both stillness and motion clearly identified in your moving meditation, you can’t generate power and you make the mistake of being what is called “double weighted.”
As Master Liao says in this course, if you successfully apply and practice combining motion and stillness, every aspect of Taichi achievement will automatically open for you.
Master Waysun Liao introduces teaching and techniques to combine the qualities of motion and stillness to generate power and mastery in your Taichi practice.
You’ll learn how to create or identify the locus of stillness and the path of motion in single forms for individual practice, as well as how to apply motion and stillness in two-person practice — both within yourself or between you and your partner as a unit. You’ll hear stories about Master Chen Tuan, or “White Cloud,” and the meditation practice behind his name.
